Campus-Wide Steam-to-Hot-Water ConversionÂ
JGN converted 9 fully occupied buildings from an aging district steam system to a high-efficiency low-temperature hot water hydronic system. The work included installing 21 boilers and 6 combined heat and power (CHP) engines, along with extensive modifications to existing air handling units, heat exchangers, and piping.

In partnership with World Energy Solutions,
JGN installed more than 30,000 feet of piping and new infrastructure across the MSK Supercampus, the Zuckerman Research Center, and the Rockefeller Research Laboratories. Campus wide upgrade to direct current (DC) powered LED lighting is also being implemented in ongoing efforts

The upgrade saves MSK $7.9 million per year in energy costs
Project Highlights
The reason our clients use JGN time and time again
MSKCC Cyclotron Facility
JGN built the cyclotron vault and supporting spaces that allow Memorial Sloan Kettering to produce radiopharmaceuticals in-house. At the time of construction, it was the largest cyclotron suite worldwide.

JGN's value engineering saved MSK more than $10 million by redesigning the pneumatic tube system to minimize shielding requirements.

A custom rigging strategy lowered the cyclotron through an adjacent areaway into the Schwartz Building cellar. This avoided a costly excavation of the front facade and saved significant time on the schedule.
